Every call answered. Every alarm taken seriously. Every life protected — because community safety isn't just a duty, it's a promise.
For over four decades, the Linden Volunteer Fire Department has been the first line of defense for our community. What started as a small group of concerned citizens has grown into a well-trained, dedicated team that responds to emergencies around the clock.
We're not a paid department — we're your neighbors, your friends, your fellow community members who give up our time, our weekends, and our sleep so that when disaster strikes, someone is ready to answer the call.
From structure fires to medical emergencies, our trained volunteers respond to a wide range of situations — always with professionalism, compassion, and speed.
Rapid deployment to residential and commercial fires, with experienced crews trained in modern firefighting techniques and equipment.
Motor vehicle accident response, extrication, and technical rescue — including confined space and water rescue operations.
Certified EMTs and paramedics provide critical care at the scene before ambulance arrival, stabilizing patients in their most vulnerable moments.
Inspections, code enforcement, and proactive outreach to reduce fire risk before it becomes a crisis in our homes and businesses.
Free fire safety workshops, school visits, CPR training, and disaster preparedness seminars for residents of all ages.
Trained teams equipped to handle chemical spills, gas leaks, and other hazardous material incidents safely and efficiently.
The Linden Volunteer Fire Department is deeply woven into the fabric of our community. We attend school events, support local charities, host open houses, and build relationships that go far beyond emergency calls.
When you see us at the county fair, at a youth sports game, or handing out smoke detectors door-to-door — that's the real work. Prevention, education, and trust are just as important as the gear on our trucks.
Regular community open houses where families can tour our apparatus and meet the crew.
Visiting local schools to teach children about fire safety, stop-drop-and-roll, and emergency preparedness.
We're always looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a real difference. Whether you have prior experience or are starting from scratch, we provide the training — you bring the commitment.
Volunteers give an average of 20 hours per month and receive full NFPA-certified training, equipment, and the deep satisfaction of serving your neighbors in their hardest moments.
